ReplyDeleteU must be definitely knowing about its relation with forbesganj!!!
First of all, it is based on a novel by Phaneeshwarnath Renu- "Maare Gaye Gulfaam", a renowned story teller from Aurahi Hingna(presently Renugram) some 15kms away from Forbesganj. When Basu Bhattacharya conceptualised this movie, the first place he thought of was Forbesganj Mela, which used to be very famous at that time. But, because of reasons which is yet a matter of debate among local people, it was shifted to Gadhbaneli.
